Poland Bound

So, I just realized today that in less than a month, Lord willing, I will be in Poland. It all seems to be coming up very fast...

Once again, this summer I am directing Son Bound, which is a sports ministry team made up of college students from all over the state of Kentucky. They will be using their athletic abilities to share the love of Jesus with the people of Kentucky and Poland; I am so excited for them! We have training from May 27 to June 8th, then the team will travel around KY for about five weeks leading Vacation Bible Schools and sports camps. After that, they will spend another three weeks helping with some youth and Bible camps in Poland. I know they are going to have an awesome and challenging summer!

Once the team is done with training, I am going to travel ahead of them to Poland. This will be my fourth trip there and my longest trip overseas to date, from June 10th - August 2nd! I'm really looking forward to it. I know I will be helping with some camps and administrative things when I arrive, but not much more than that. That seems to be the nature of these trips, you never know quite what will happen until you get there, but I am getting used to that. It sounds like I might get to make a couple of trips to London helping various teams get around which should be awesome since I've never been to England. I'll get to meet Son Bound there when they fly in, and I'll travel with them for the duration of their stay.

It's hard to believe it's all just a couple of weeks away now. I will try to keep you updated on what is going on while I'm away, but computer usage may be scarce. However, please be in prayer for my team and myself this summer. Pray for safety in our travel, but most of all pray for our ministry. Pray that the people we meet will have the life changing experience of knowing Jesus Christ and the hope & peace of knowing God's forgiveness. We have experienced and we know, and that is the the reason we go forth...
